Barcode Recruitment - now known as HAP recruitment - is a staffing agency that provide staff for some of the UK’s biggest festivals, sporting events, music gigs and club nights. They also play a key part in many promotional and market research campaigns representing some huge brands. After a successful application and interview with Barcode, I was then able to apply for various events; Reading Festival, V festival, Jimmy's Sausage and Beer Festival and Let's Rock London.
"Barcodes' ethos is to continually provide honest and excellent staff. We require people who share our values, who are set on ensuring that our clients receive professional and hardworking individuals suited to their exact needs."
One of my passions is to work with and for people, particularly in a bar environment as I am a very sociable person, and thrive in this type of work. My first event with Barcode was V festival. I was allocated to the largest bar the festival had, working in a team of about 40 people. My responsibilities as a bartender included serving on the bar, stocking the bar when necessary and maintaining a clean working area. It was also imperative to abide by the 'challenge 25' code, to ensure the bar maintained appropriate regulations and to keep our customers safe.
Working at each festival has strengthened my communication skills and confidence when interacting with customers in a fast paced environment. I have also enhanced my service knowledge and efficiency within a team.
Transferable Skills; Verbal Communication, Customer Service, Time Management
